SEC Basketball Power Rankings: Alabama moves to the top spot
Three of the league's top teams celebrated big victories last week while also suffering double-digit losses.
Tennessee took down LSU by 20 and then lost by 16 at Texas A&M. Alabama lost at Auburn by 18 and then hammered LSU by 17 on the road. After defeating the Tide, Auburn traveled to Gainesville and suffered a 16-point loss to the Gators.
South Carolina was the only one of the top four to emerge last week unscathed, as they beat Ole Miss in a close game and took down Vanderbilt.
Looking at the week ahead, some big games are on the docket. Tuesday night, Ole Miss pays a visit to Lexington to tangle with the Kentucky Wildcats. Auburn hosts South Carolina Wednesday night, then welcomes ESPN's Game Day and Kentucky to town Saturday. The other key game to watch Saturday is Texas A&M taking on Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
