The Auburn Tigers hosted the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns at Neville Arena tonight and came away with a hard-fought 60-54 win.

What are the main takeaways from the game?

Auburn started slow

The score at the end of the first quarter was 14-4. The second quarter was not extremely friendly to either side. Louisiana held a 25-16 point lead at the break.

Savannah Scott had six points in the first half which was enough to lead Auburn in scoring. The Tigers shot 7-30 from the field in the first half.

Auburn's halftime adjustments worked

Auburn opened up the third quarter by hitting five of its first seven field goals. They had also grabbed seven rebounds within the first five minutes of the quarter starting.

Whatever head coach Johnnie Harris told her team worked because they never looked back.

The bench was nonexistent

Auburn had zero bench points in the first 34 minutes of the game. McKenna Eddings hit two free throws to break that trend.

Only two more bench points occurred after that. Eddings also hit a lay-up in the final minute of the game to help secure the win.

What's next?

Auburn travels up to Piscataway, N.J. on Sunday for a contest with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT and the broadcast can be found on Big Ten Network. The radio broadcast can be heard locally on 100.3 FM.
