The Jungle shines in Auburn’s strong performance in the ACC/SEC challenge

Neville Arena is insane.
In this story:

Auburn jumped all over Virginia Tech in the early moments of Wednesday night’s win. Johni Broome led an 18-4 run to open the game in an effort that felt like watching the Harlem Globetrotters. Broome was sensational with his 30 points and 13 rebounds, but that is not what stole the show.

It was Auburn’s crowd.

There was a basketball game going on, but it seemed all the announcers could talk about was Neville Arena’s atmosphere. John Schriffen and Dameon Fishback were beside themselves with the noise coming from behind them. They pleaded with ESPN at the end of the broadcast to give them more games at Auburn. They couldn’t get enough.

Ultimately, what these announcers were trying to express is that Auburn Basketball games are absolutely electric. Excitement, fervor, and joy come together to create a setting that is above all things fun and is certainly loud. When combined with the family feel that is the plains, Neville Arena is truly beginning to rival Cameron Indoor as one of the most exciting experiences in college basketball. The architects and decision-makers behind Neville Arena deserve credit. There’s not a bad seat in the house.

Auburn Basketball travels to take on App State this Sunday.
