Walker Kessler tabbed Western Conference Rookie of the Month
Thanks to his amazing play in the month of February, Walker Kessler was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month.
This is a big award for Kessler to receive, and people in the NBA community are starting to discuss Kessler as "the steal of the draft."
In February, he averaged 10.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game.
Kessler has the NBA's third-best offensive rebound percentage at 13.2 percent and is currently fifth in the NBA in blocks per game at 2.2.
The Utah Jazz traded away all of their superstar players, planning to tank this season, but thanks to the play of Kessler and surprise All-Star Lauri Markkanen, they are in contention for a playoff spot with a 31-32 record.
Kessler has quickly become a fan favorite in Utah, just like he did on the Plains a season ago.
It will be a blast watching the last 20 or so games of the season, hoping the Jazz make it into the playoffs.
It would be really enjoyable to watch Kessler in the postseason, and he and his team are will push over these next handful of games to solidify their spot.
Congrats to Kessler on being named the Western Conference, Rookie of the Month!
