What did Bruce Pearl have to say after Auburn's loss to Tennessee?

Auburn fell just short against Tennessee tonight. What did head coach Bruce Pearl have to say after the game?

The No. 11 Auburn Tigers fell 92-84 to the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers on the road tonight.

What did Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl have to say after the game?

"I congratulated Coach (Rick) Barnes after the game," Pearl said. "I told him I hope he wins the league."

Pearl talked about the challenge that Tennessee guard Dalton Knecht presented and what Auburn tried to do to contain him.

"We sent the double a couple of times, we got a turnover," Pearl said. "We set a double one time and he passed out of it and they got a dunk. I felt like we had guys that could guard him."

Pearl talked about Auburn's performance from 3-point range.

"We made nine, shot 40%," Pearl said. "We scored 84 points, I can't really fault our offense. I just can't. We did turn the ball over too much."

Pearl talked about the game that Auburn forward Johni Broome had and the effect it had on the team.

"He's a handful down there," Pearl said. "He got fouled every time we threw it to him. He's a competent player and I trust him."

Auburn takes on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at home on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
