What did Auburn's head coach have to say after the Tigers' convincing win against their biggest rival?

The No. 12 Auburn Tigers picked up a 99-81 win over the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide tonight at Neville Arena.

What did Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl have to say after the game?

"Alabama, they got a great team," Pearl said. "A really, really hard preparation for our coaching staff... It's what makes them so good offensively and such a dangerous team."

Pearl talked about Jaylin Williams' performance.

"He (Williams) is great with his back to the basket," Pearl said. "Both he and Johni (Broome) are able to score over that right shoulder, left hand. There's no special scouting report on it, they just can. I thought we ran good action to get them close touches."

Pearl also talked about Tre Donaldson and how he has grown this season.

"He recognizes that he's one of our best players and one of the better players in the league," Pearl said. "If we're going to win, he's got to be able to deliver. I think he really has, he's kept his focus."

Pearl talked about the difference in Auburn's defensive performance tonight compared to the first meeting between the two teams.

"I thought we did a better job keeping bodies on bodies," Pearl said. "Not getting overwhelmed on the offensive glass, not getting beat to as many 50-50 balls and we did a better job of not turning the ball over."

Auburn returns to action on Saturday against the Florida Gators on the road in Gainesville at 2:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
