What did Bruce Pearl have to say before Auburn's game against Missouri?
The No. 13 Auburn Tigers take on the Missouri Tigers on the road tomorrow.
What did Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl have to say before the game?
Pearl talked about Lior Berman who suffered a season-ending injury against Mississippi State.
"He meant a lot to our program over the last five years, both on and off the court," Pearl said. "So disappointed for Lior (Berman). He had worked his way into a really good spot in the regular rotation. We had such great confidence in Lior (Berman). He’s such a great example of when you don’t always get what you deserve, stay with it. I probably should’ve been playing him more sooner almost every year that he’s been in the program."
Pearl talked about what he sees in Missouri.
"We're going to have to really play well," Pearl said. "Again, they've got great guard play. They've got real length and size at the rim in three different 7-foot-type kids. They can make tough 2s. They do a great job making tough 2s and they do a great job getting to the foul line. We've got to guard without fouling. That's the biggest thing."
Pearl gave his thoughts on where Auburn is at currently.
"I like where they're at," Pearl said. "I like where we're at right now for a couple reasons. I think that we know how to defend and we know how to communicate, and we know that we can make it difficult for opponents. I think we've guarded well most every night. This has been one of the better defensive teams I've had."
Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
