What did Auburn's head coach have to say prior to the road contest with Florida?

The No. 12 Auburn Tigers take on the Florida Gators on the road tomorrow.

What did Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl have to say before the game?

"1996," Pearl said. Steven Pearl was seven, Mike Burgomaster was two, Chad Pruitt was in his second year of coaching high school basketball, Ira Bowman was a player at Penn. Bill Clinton was President. Monica (Lewinsky) was still his intern. Gas was $1.22, and that was the last time we beat Florida at Florida."

Pearl talked about how he has gone to play at Florida with good teams but still has not been able to win there.

"I think every game has been its own challenge," Pearl said. "I think our first few years we weren't good enough, believe it or not Billy Donovan was still coaching down there. We've gone down there a couple of times with teams good enough to beat them and haven't been able to."

Pearl talked about the challenge presented by Florida's frontcourt.

"(Tyrese) Samuel is one of the most athletic bigs in our league," Pearl said. "All their 7-footers are athletic, run the floor, block shots and are inside-outside guys."

Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
