What did Chad Baker-Mazara have to say after Auburn's SEC Tournament semifinals win over Mississippi State?

What did Auburn's forward have to say after the Tigers clinched a spot in the SEC Tournament Championship game?

The No. 12 (No. 4 seed) Auburn Tigers picked up a 73-66 win over the No. 9 seed Mississippi State Bulldogs to punch their ticket to the SEC Tournament Championship game.

What did Auburn forward Chad Baker-Mazara have to say after the game?

Baker-Mazara talked about Auburn's strategy going into the game.

"Basically we knew it was going to be a dogfight," Baker-Mazara said. "We played them twice. We already seen what they're capable of. So we just had to come out there and basically execute. Coach told us what it was going to be about. SEC tournament, not many foul calls. We knew it was going to be really a war down there, so..."

Baker-Mazara talked about the key to winning a competitive game like that.

"When it comes to games like that, basically it comes to who wants it more," Baker-Mazara said. "A little 50/50 plays, going to make the extra hustle, the one more pass, who's more disciplined at the end."

Baker-Mazara talked about the rivalry between Auburn and Mississippi State.

"I mean, we know that they have really great players, especially in the backcourt," Baker-Mazara said. "We know that our guys are better. We never underestimate them. Every time they come, they give us a good game, a good fight. We just really come out there and just play harder than them and try to out-execute them basically."

Auburn will take on the winner of the game between the No. 6 seed Florida Gators and No. 7 seed Texas A&M Aggies at 12 p.m. CT tomorrow. The television broadcast can be found on ESPN and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
