What did Auburn's forward have to say ahead of the matchup with the Gamecocks?

The No. 13 Auburn Tigers host the South Carolina Gamecocks tomorrow at Neville Arena.

What did Auburn forward Chaney Johnson have to say ahead of the game?

Johnson talked about what has helped him gain confidence as SEC play moves along.

"Just being around the guys 24/7," Johnson said. "They're always speaking positively to me. My confidence has nowhere to go but up from where it was. Also trusting in God because that's where my relationships stand."

Johnson talked about the importance of these two games coming up.

"It's big for us," Johnson said. "We have two wonderful programs coming in. It's really important to get these two. Being at home gives us that extra oomph that we might not have if we're playing away."

Johnson talked about what the most difficult adjustment he had to make was.

"Just the decision-making, just the speed of the game," Johnson said. "There's talent everywhere, but once you take that talent to D-1 ball, speed is a lot faster and people are a lot bigger. I'm not able to pound and score over five men like I was able to do in D-2. I'm having to take my time and be more patient."

Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
