What Did Chaney Johnson Have To Say Before Auburn’s Game Against Tennessee?

What did the Auburn forward have to say before the Tennessee game?

The No. 11 Auburn Tigers take on the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers on the road tomorrow.

What did Auburn forward Chaney Johnson have to say before the game?

Johnson talked about the success that Auburn had shooting 3-pointers against Georgia and how confident that made the team.

"I'd say it gave us a lot of confidence," Johnson said. "We knew with all of the work that we were putting in that shots were gonna fall. Some nights aren't going to be your night and shots aren't going to fall. That's when you play harder on defense."

Johnson talked about what players stepping up without Jaylin Williams on the floor says about the team.

"It says we're a really complete team," Johnson said. "We're missing one of the best players, I feel like, in the conference or maybe even the country. It just shows how good of a job we do in the locker room."

Johnson talked about what allowed him to perform well against Georgia.

"Just trusting my work," Johnson said. "Continuing to trust in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... I was stepping into a big role that Jaylin (Williams) left. I was talking to him (Williams) and praying, it worked."

Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on ESPN2 and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
