What did Dylan Cardwell have to say after Auburn's win over Ole Miss?
The No. 13 Auburn Tigers picked up a dominant 82-59 win over the No. 22 Ole Miss Rebels at home tonight.
What did Auburn center Dylan Cardwell have to say following the game?
Cardwell talked about the success that Auburn had in the paint.
"The scouting report was to not really go inside but if we did dribble it out or pass," Cardwell said. "I guess we just found the open man and that's pretty much all it was."
Cardwell talked about how the team emphasized not taking its foot off the gas in the second half.
"Coach (Pearl) was really adamant about finishing the second half strong," Cardwell said. "We get up 30 but kind of just relax. During that TV timeout, he (Pearl) said this was the same position we were in against LSU. We stopped playing team basketball."
Cardwell said that the team's chemistry is the main thing helping it click this season.
"This is the closest team I've ever been on," Cardwell said. "It all started back in the summer when Bruce Pearl was adamant about us eating together and hanging out together."
Auburn returns to action on Wednesday night when it takes on the Alabama Crimson Tide on the road inside Coleman Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on ESPN and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics App.
