What did Jaylin Williams have to say after Auburn's SEC Tournament semifinals win over Mississippi State?

What did Auburn's veteran forward have to say after the Tigers clinched a spot in the SEC Tournament Championship game?

The No. 12 (No. 4 seed) Auburn Tigers picked up a 73-66 win over the No. 9 seed Mississippi State Bulldogs to punch their ticket to the SEC Tournament Championship game.

What did Auburn forward Jaylin Williams have to say after the game?

Williams talked about what helped Auburn rebound so much better in the second half.

"We knew they was dominating us on the offensive glass," Williams said. "I was like, let me just jump up, use my athleticism, go grab the rebounds. That was really key. At halftime we talked about that. They had more offensive rebounds than we did rebounds total. We had to put our pants on, go out there and show them Auburn basketball."

Williams talked about what it took for Auburn to adjust after Mississippi State got off to a quick start.

"I knew, like, they played before us, so they done played a couple games before us," Williams said. "I knew coming out they were going to try to be more physical than us. First half they had to stick around as long as they could, compete at the highest level as possible. They knew they were tired, probably didn't have as much rest because they had to prepare for us the whole night. This morning we had to play at 12:00."

This was Auburn's first single-digit win of the season. Williams talked about what the team will learn from this game.

"Make free throws and rebound really," Williams said. "Especially when it's that close, we're up like that, they're going to foul us, then we got to get stops, communicate, stick together. Like, we can't shut down as a team."

Auburn will take on the winner of the game between the No. 6 seed Florida Gators and No. 7 seed Texas A&M Aggies at 12 p.m. CT tomorrow. The television broadcast can be found on ESPN and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
