What did Auburn's star forward have to say after the Tigers' convincing win against their biggest rival?

The No. 12 Auburn Tigers picked up a 99-81 win over the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide tonight at Neville Arena.

What did Auburn forward Johni Broome have to say after the game?

Broome talked about the difference in the defense between this meeting and the last one between the two teams.

"I'd just say the 3-pointer," Broome said. "They made nine 3's, our goal was to keep them under eight. It's definitely a difference-maker... holding them to no 3's."

Broome talked about expanding his game to include better play from the perimeter.

"Just working out with guys like Aden (Holloway) and Tre (Donaldson) and KD (Johnson), Denver (Jones), just guys who shoot the ball really well. Just building confidence."

Broome talked about the benefits of the depth that Auburn has.

"When you have one person playing 25 (minutes) and one playing 15, you're fresh," Broome said. "I go out there for four minutes and Dylan (Cardwell) goes out there for four minutes. I got a four-minute break while their big man stayed out on the court."

Broome talked about what winning this game means for Auburn.

"That was a must-win," Broome said. "We knew they were first in the SEC and our goal is to win the SEC. We had to get a separator."

Auburn returns to action on Saturday against the Florida Gators on the road in Gainesville at 2:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
