What did Auburn's forward have to say after Auburn's win over the Bulldogs?

The No. 11 Auburn Tigers picked up a 78-63 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs at home this afternoon.

What did Auburn forward Johni Broome have to say after the game?

Broome talked about Auburn's hot start on the defensive end.

"Defense wins championships," Broome said. "We're always harping on defense. They have Tolu (Smith), he's a really good player. Josh Hubbard is a really good player."

Broome talked about the matchup between him and Smith.

"I think we're the two best bigs in the conference," Broome said. "All week I prepared for that matchup. I took the matchup personally, I'm pretty sure he did too. He's a great player and I tried to not let him get it as much as possible."

Broome talked about how much Auburn has improved from beyond the arc.

"Coach (Pear) has been saying recently it's time to get hot," Broome said. "It's time to make a run. We don't plan on losing no more. We got two more games until the SEC Tournament and then we got March Madness so we don't want to lose any more games."

Auburn returns to action on Tuesday when it takes on the Missouri Tigers on the road at 8 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
