Auburn football recruiting finished the 2024 class strong and the 2025 class could be even better for Hugh Freeze.

As the transfer portal window hype settles down, the Auburn Tigers and the rest of college football are turning their focus to recruiting and emphasizing the 2025 class.

Auburn hosted 5-star quarterback Julian Lewis on campus this weekend. According to Lewis, Auburn is no stranger to recruiting him but it was his first time coming to campus and he wanted to get to know the coaches and program pursuing him a little better.

“Yes, I will definitely be back,” Lewis said to multiple reporters at the end of his visit. He added that he will be back in the area for 7-on-7 and he will remain in conversation with the coaching staff. He also highlighted that Auburn had guys to throw to like Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson.

The Carrollton, Georgia standout quarterback is listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, and is currently committed to the USC Trojans. He's listed as a 5-star by Rivals and a 4-star by On3 and 247Sports. ESPN does not appear to have their rankings made for the 2025 class.

Auburn will be battling with several schools for Lewis. Obviously flipping him from USC will provide a challenge but he will also be pursued by Georgia, Alabama, and Florida State, among others.

Lewis posted on his Instagram story later on Saturday that he was at the Auburn basketball game. He watched an electric environment as Auburn took down the Ole Miss Rebels in Neville Arena.
