Auburn football's offense should look different in 2024, thanks to a new offensive scheme and new weapons, including an incoming 5-star.

The Auburn Tigers are in the thick of Hugh Freeze's second spring practice during his tenure on The Plains. One of the biggest storylines is new Auburn 5-star wide receiver, Cam Coleman.

Coleman appeared on Locked On Auburn with On To Victory's Brett Whiteside to discuss the positive impact that the collective is having on Auburn athletes. Coleman was asked about how spring is going.

"The spring is going good," Coleman said. "There's always room for improvement. I'm always working, me and the team. I'm always seeing constructive criticism from Camden Brown, Koy (Moore), Robert Lewis. They've really been all pointed to me, made sure (I'm) getting, knowing the plays and just take me under their wing and just showing me the ways around, but it's going good so far."

Coleman is learning from the upperclassman in the wide receiver room.

"I really say the leaders are really Koy," Coleman said when asked about leadership in the wide receiver room. "Camden Brown and Robert Lewis, they're all good leaders."

The transition from high school to college can take some time for some players, but Auburn will need Coleman to make the adjustment quickly so he can compete in 2024. He points out that the Auburn offense is similar to what he did at the high school level and that is helping him adjust to the college tempo.

"It's similar to what I ran in high school because, under Patrick Nix (at Central-Phenix City), we run the RPO offense, so we're RPO style offense and really, it's really similar to what I've been doing," Coleman said. "It's just terminology, different yardage, different depth with my yard is different, but it's really been a good adjustment up to this point."

Auburn's "A-Day" spring game is set for Saturday, April 6th at 1PM.
