Auburn football has a chance to completely change starting offense from 2022
The Auburn Tigers have hit the transfer portal hard during Hugh Freeze's first few months.
The Tigers have added a total of 18 players through the portal this cycle, giving them the No. 3 portal class in the country (per 247Sports). A lot of work had to be done on the offensive line, and Freeze made sure Auburn got the pieces they wanted to replenish the cabinet.
Grayson Weir of Outkick recently released an article detailing how it could be possible that the Tigers have a completely new starting 11 across the offense this season.
A look at how that could work out:
Quarterback - Payton Thorne (Michigan State)
Running Back - Brian Battie (USF)
X Wide Receiver - Nick Mardner (Cincinnati)
Y Wide Receiver - Caleb Burton (Ohio State)
Z Wide Receiver - Jyaire Shorter (North Texas)
Tight End - Rivaldo Fairweather (Florida International)
Tackle - Gunner Britton (Western Kentucky)
Guard - Jaden Muskrat (Tulsa)
Center - Avery Jones (East Carolina)
Guard - Undetermined
Tackle - Dillon Wade (Tulsa)
The Tigers would have to do some shifting at guard and running back in order to make this happen, but depending on what happens through the summer and fall camp, this could realistically happen.
