Hugh Freeze: 'We've got to find some answers'
The Auburn Tigers suffered the first loss of the Hugh Freeze era at the hands of Texas A&M.
On offense, the Tigers did very little to feel good about on Saturday.
"The bad part about it is that we moved the football and we'd get in scoring territory and we'd get a penalty or a sack and it would knock us back out of scoring points that would've made it a little more interesting for sure," Freeze said during his press conference after the game. "The third quarter was dominated by them. I think we had two three-and-outs. They had most of their yards in the third quarter, it felt like. They're a good football team."
Auburn amassed just 200 yards on Saturday and the offense was responsible for just three points. They were 3-15 on third down and averaged just 3.1 yards per play.
"Offensively, we're searching," Freeze added. "And we've got to find some answers."
The next chance to find some answers? Auburn's next opponent will be an even tougher opponent as they host the two-time defending champion Georgia Bulldogs. Then after a bye week, they'll travel to take on the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge where Auburn hasn't won very often in the last two decades.
The Auburn Tigers will kick off against Georgia this Saturday at 2:30 CT.
