Auburn football has secured back-to-back transfer portal additions.

Trill Carter, a former Texas defensive tackle, has committed to Auburn football, per his social media.

Carter spent one season with the Longhorns before transferring to the Tigers. Prior to his short stint in Austin, the 6-foot-2, 300-pound tackle played four seasons at Minnesota.

Over the course of his five-year career, Carter recorded 49 total tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble and one interception. Carter finished 2023 with a PFF grade of 67.1, his second-best grade of his career (69.5 in 2019).

He played 246 snaps for the Longhorns and consistently earned around 20 snaps per game for the final five games of the season, including the College Football Playoff Semifinal against Washington.

Auburn now has six commitments in their 2024 transfer portal class. Right before Carter announced on Monday afternoon, four-star tight end Rico Walker, a transfer from Maryland, also committed to the Tigers.

Walker appeared in eight games for the Terrapins in 2023, recording four receptions for 28 yards and no touchdowns. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining. He chose Auburn over South Florida and Pittsburgh.

He was a four-star athlete coming out of high school, rated as the No. 10 athlete and the No. 234 overall prospect in the 2023 class.
