4-Star ATH Jalewis Solomon on Auburn Commitment: "I'm locked in with Auburn. War Eagle!"

Jalewis Solomon, a 4-star Auburn athlete commit from Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County, grabs two touchdown receptions to advance to 2-0.

Schley County, Georgia has a population of around 5,000 people and one traffic light, but it feels a whole lot bigger on Friday nights. This Schley County football team is loved by its community and brings the whole town of Ellaville, Georgia together.

Schley were runners-up at last year’s Georgia Class A Division II State Championship and Jalewis is ready to get back to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to win Schley County a State Championship.

Jalewis and Schley County faced off against Early County tonight. Early County rarely targeted Jalewis’s side of the field last night. He found most of his stats coming from the offensive side of the ball. He grabbed two touchdown receptions on the night. Up until the last five minutes of the fourth quarter, Jalewis had played every snap both ways for the Wildcats. Schley County beat Early County 30-0.

This is what Jalewis had to say after the game. 

What is your expectation for Schley County for the remainder of the season?

“I really just want to stay on the winning streak and take it one game at a time. Hopefully, we’re at Mercedes-Benz (Stadium) this time. This time we have to finish it because last year we lost by a touchdown, so we’re taking every game personally.”

With all the turnovers by Early County, you basically played wide receiver the entire night. Which do you like more, offense, or defense?

“I’ll play anywhere. On defense, they rarely throw it to my side. So, I have to do something on offense. I have to make plays on offense when I can. I’ll play either side, it doesn’t matter.”

Where do you stand right now with your commitment to Auburn?

“Man, I’m locked in with Auburn. War Eagle!”

With you committed to Auburn, and Zykeivous at Auburn, does that influence 2025 5-Star Edge Zayden Walker’s decision at all?

“Most definitely, but you never know about Zayden and where he wants to go. I’m not going to pressure him. If he wants to come with me, let him come, but Zayden has his own decision to make.”

Will you be at the game (vs. UMass) on Saturday?

“I will be there.”

Not only did Jalewis have a great night on the field, but he also makes a lot of people’s night off the field. Last week, he was pictured signing footballs and giving out autographs to the young fans that he has. I witnessed him giving out high fives with a smile on his face coming out of half-time. He certainly seems to fit the bill of an Auburn Man.
