Recruiting expert chimes in on Seth Wilfred

"He has very heavy hands, and he gets up to the second level pretty well"
In this story:

Auburn's newest commitment offers upside and depth to the offensive line room.

Seth Wilfred, the 6-foot-6, 295-pound JUCO offensive tackle from Snow College is the latest addition to Auburn's 2024 class. His three years remaining of eligibility offer the potential of multiple years as a starter.

Recruiting insider Brian Smith joined Locked On Auburn to discuss what he sees in Wilfred's tape.

"He has very heavy hands, and he gets up to the second level pretty well," Smith said. "Like every guy, he needs more technical work, but he's a bulldozer, man, and he plays really hard. Auburn has always been, since I was a little kid, a school that had guys that just went all out, kind of just crazy guys in the trenches. They've always had war daddies like that. This kid just reminds me of when I was a kid and seeing kids like that at Auburn. So maybe that's why I like him so much.

"But here's the great part. He barely played in high school because he was at Bishop Gorman out in Vegas, which is a loaded program. He goes to JUCO and ends up being a starter. How crazy is that? But he ends up playing and doing pretty well, gets offers. Auburn picks him up. He's got a high upside."

Smith added that he expects him to be a starter in his second year on campus.
