Auburn signs four-star DL TJ Lindsey

TJ Lindsey has signed with the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn has made four-star defensive lineman TJ Lindsey a priority since Hugh Freeze and his staff took over. He brings versatility, size, and explosiveness to the next level.

TJ Lindsey

Position: Defensive line

High School: IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL

Size: 6-foot-3, 265 pounds

Recruitment: Auburn beat out Arkansas and Texas A&M for Lindey's services. With Lindsey being from Bryan, Arkansas, the Razorbacks posed a threat but Lindesy ultimately ended up with the Tigers. He announced on August 12th of this year.

Lindsey is listed as a 4-star on the On3 Composite rankings. He is listed as a 3-star by On3, 247Sports, and ESPN. Rivals lists him as a 4-star.

Strengths: Lindsey comes to Auburn as a coached-up player. His senior season at IMG gave him some high-level coaching that will prepare him for the SEC. His versatility could give him some reps at both defensive tackle and defensive end.

Possesses excellent hands to fend off offensive linemen. Lindsey also showcases some of the best moves of any defensive line recruit from the class of 2024. No doubt, he’s utilizing the coaching that’s coming his way.

Lindsey also has the frame to play 3-technique or strong side end, i.e. 5-technique. Depending on down and distance, and game situation, Auburn can move Lindsey into different positions to best utilize his skills. Look for him to be a player that is more than just a big body. Lindsey can rush the passer.
