WKU transfer OT Gunner Britton commits to Auburn
Auburn has added another piece to its ever growing offensive line class.
Gunner Britton, a four-year starter for Western Kentucky, has committed to Auburn, per his social media page. He was a former two-star OT out of Conway, South Carolina. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-6, 305-pound lineman is the second portal offensive tackle to choose the Tigers after Tulsa transfer Dillon Wade picked Auburn on December 23rd.
Hugh Freeze has now added seven total offensive lineman in the 2023 recruiting class, five of them high school signees. Auburn's biggest position of need now holds a plethora of new faces.
Freeze's goal is to nab as many lineman as possible, so its doubtful that Britton is the last addition of the cycle. As of right now, Auburn is in the running for former Baylor starter Micah Mazzucca.
Britton had a solid season by PFF standards, finishing with a 77.2 grade. His pass block grade of 83.9 was 24th nationally among tackles. He had a career high 84.4 grade in 2021.
