Auburn Quarterback Discusses Opting Into The New College Football Video Game
More details are coming out about the new NCAA video game and some Auburn Tigers are excited about it.
According to multiple reports, the NCAA video game will allow college football players to opt into being in the game when it releases later this year. Players who opt-in will receive $600 and a copy of the game. The game is expected to have over 10,000 players from the 134 FBS schools.
Auburn quarterback Hank Brown told Auburn Daily that he's excited for the game to release and is looking forward to seeing himself in the game.
"Growing up playing this game, it's going to be so dope to able to play as myself in there at quarterback," Brown said. "I've always dreamed of one day being in a video game and all I can do is give glory to God that the dream has come true."
The video game is expected to be released sometime this summer. It will be the first installment of the game since NCAA 2014 was released around a decade ago. The game had to stop production due to concerns about name, image, and likeness. Now that players are about to financially benefit from NIL, EA Sports is rolling the game out again this year.
Brown will be one of four quarterbacks on Auburn's roster to be in the game assuming the entire room opts into the agreement sent out by EA Sports. Auburn fans will be able to have their own quarterback battles and play as Brown, Payton Thorne, Walker White, and Holden Geriner.
