Jayson Jones says "forget the money" in reference to the NCAA Football video game

Jayson Jones had an excellent answer to the NCAA Football video game discussion.

The beloved NCAA Football video game is set to return in 2024, but now players are being advised to boycott this game by the College Football Player's Union.

The reason for the boycott has to do with NIL money and how players won't be receiving what they deserve for their name, image, and likeness.

Jayson Jones joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast, and host Zac Blackerby asked him his thoughts on the video game and the NIL discussion surrounding the game.

Here was Jones's response, "I'll forget the money. I'll be in the game for free. Yeah. I don't care. Like if I get the opportunity to be in a video game, I'm going to do it. As of right now as me, as you know, being a college athlete, I don't care. I want to be in a video game. Like I've been playing, I played NCAA since I was a kid. Now it's back, and people care about money. I want to be in the game for free. I don't care if I get paid. I just want to be in the NCAA game."

Jones absolutely has the right idea. A lot of kids grew up playing this game, and they are college athletes right now like Jones.

Hearing Jones say he would love to be in the game for free is awesome.

Every kid's dream is to be a sports star in a video game, and Jones cares about that more than money.

I absolutely love this answer by Jones and hope more college football players join him in this stance so a video game loved by all can come back from a nearly ten-year hiatus.
