Green Bay Packers draft Auburn kicker Anders Carlson
Anders Carlson has been drafted!
The Green Bay Packers picked up Carlson with the No. 207 pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.
Being invited to the NFL Scouting Combine had to help Anders' chances of landing with an NFL squad. After signing with ____ he now joins his brother Daniel as the two former Auburn kickers in the NFL.
Carlson made 12 of his 17 field goal attempts in 2022. His longest was from 46 yards out.
Here's the scouting report on Anders from NFL.com.
Carlson has made kicks in big moments and appeared to be tracking in a good direction back in 2020. However, he has struggled to establish consistency on mid-range kicks and has been poor on kicks from 50 yards and beyond. He’s had too many kicks blocked during his career and doesn’t sport a booming leg on kickoffs.
Carlson's best season was in 2020 when he was 90.9% on his kicks. He made 20 of his 22 attempts and was 2-3 from kicks 50 yards or more.
