Former Auburn players are upset only two players rushed Jalen Milroe on the go-ahead touchdown
Another Iron Bowl has come and gone, and per usual in this rivalry, there was an insane ending.
It seemed like Auburn had this game wrapped up until, on fourth and 31, Jalen Milroe threw a dart to Isiah Bond, scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 0:32 left on the clock.
Now that the dust has settled on this ball game, some people are wondering why Auburn only rushed two on this play.
Eugene Asante was near the line of scrimmage, likely spying on Jalen Milroe, but you can't really say he was rushing the passer, which means only two players were sent after Milroe.
He had all day in the pocket and was able to find Bond to give the Crimson Tide the lead and the Iron Bowl.
Now, some former Auburn players are voicing their opinions on Twitter/X, as Deshaun Davis and Ryan Davis put their opinions out there.
Deshaun Davis tweeted, "A two-man rush is absolutely insane." Ryan Davis responded, "Shake my head." Deshaun then responded back, "I can't make it make sense, bro," and Ryan said, "Never will."
Now that the game is over and the Auburn Tigers dropped a heart breaker, all we can do is ask, what if they sent a few more players after Milroe on the play that cost the Tigers the Iron Bowl?
