Talented Memphis Offensive Lineman Davion Carter Has Entered the Transfer Portal
The Auburn Tigers are going to be in the market for offensive lineman this offseason.
Freeze and his staff will be out on the transfer portal trail looking to land as many linemen as possible.
They already have a prospect to look at... and it doesn't hurt that he's one of the best in the nation.
Davion Carter, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound lineman from the University of Memphis, has entered the transfer portal, per his Twitter.
Carter is one of the best offensive guards in all of college football according to Pro Football Focus. He finished the 2023 season with an offensive PFF grade of 79.4, good for 11th nationally. Carter has a pass block grade of 87.2 in 522 passing snaps. Very, very impressive numbers for a Group of Five offensive lineman.
Per On3, Carter played high school football at Pearl (MS), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 70 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Before transferring to Memphis, Carter played his freshman season at Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Auburn should be pursuing Carter alongside a number of players as they begin to enter their names into the transfer portal in the coming weeks.
