Two of Auburn’s 2024 WR Commits faced off on Friday night
The five-star wide receiver from Foley, Perry Thompson and four-star wide receiver from Baker, Bryce Cain, had themselves a productive night down in Foley, Alabama. The 2024 Auburn commits found themselves on opposite sidelines last night.
Perry Thompson has a massive frame and will be a big-time player for your Auburn Tigers. He had a nice diving touchdown grab in the second quarter. He also had a pass break-up over Cain - because Perry plays both ways, naturally.
Bryce Cain had an explosive night with three touchdown grabs, all in the second half. His first touchdown came in the third quarter from Baker QB and Mississippi State commit, Josh Flowers, with a 44-yard pass. Cain gained his second touchdown from a 20-yard pass, and he put the game away on a 73-yard touchdown, showing off his insane speed. Baker won in a shoot-out, 51-44.
Marcus Davis came down to Foley to check out his two wide receivers and they both performed amazing. Coach Freeze and Coach Davis need to continue to recruit wide receivers of this caliber and they’re off to an excellent start. The next time that we could see Thompson and Cain on the same football field, expect them to be wearing the same orange and blue.
