Auburn Briefing: Once again, that was not a bad dream

The 88th edition of the Iron Bowl ended badly for the Auburn Tigers. It is not the first time that has been the case and it will not be the last.

Auburn once again finds itself in a position that has been all too familiar this season: taking in a crushing loss.

The Tigers fell 27-24 at the hands of the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide and lost due to a late touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe.

Auburn awaits its bowl game destination which will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 3.

Auburn basketball update

The men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday night when the Virginia Tech Hokies come to town. Tipoff is set for 8:15 p.m. CT and the broadcast can be found on ESPN2.

The women's basketball team takes on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs today at home inside of Neville Arena. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. CT and the game can be found on SEC Network+. 

Auburn will be looking to bounce back after taking two tough losses in a row.
