Auburn Briefing: Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Auburn Daily.
The Iron Bowl is two days away. Will the game be as chaotic as it usually is in Jordan-Hare Stadium? That remains to be seen.
Hugh Freeze and his players surely hope so. Alabama comes in as a big favorite. It will be tough for Auburn to pull the upset but not impossible.
Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. CT and CBS will carry the broadcast.
Auburn basketball update
The men's basketball team returns to action next Wednesday when the Virginia Tech Hokies come to town. Tipoff is set for 8:15 p.m. CT and the broadcast can be found on ESPN2.
The women's basketball team takes on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs this Sunday at home inside of Neville Arena. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. CT and the game can be found on SEC Network+.
A Thanksgiving message from me to you
Now that the business has been taken care of, I would like to take a moment to talk about what I am thankful for this year.
I am thankful for Zac Blackerby and Lindsay Crosby deciding to take a chance on a kid who wanted to break into this industry. Working for these guys has been nothing short of amazing.
Lance Dawe is also amazing to work for and I am happy to call him a friend. Chatting it up with him and frequent Locked On Auburn guest Darrell Dapprich while covering Auburn football and basketball games has been one of my favorite things about this job.
Everyone else I am fortunate enough to work with here at the Auburn Daily also deserves credit.
Apart from my professional life, this year has also been good to me in other ways.
My mother is doing better after a lengthy battle with cancer. I continue to be blessed by the many great friends I am surrounded by.
I would like to leave you with this: Do not limit your thankfulness to today. Always remember to be thankful.
