The SEC has now released the entire 2024 SEC schedule for the Tigers alongside the rest of the league's slates.

Auburn will get Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt at home. A very weird home slate.

The Tigers will travel to Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and Kentucky - a very SEC east heavy travel schedule.

Auburn will not play either Mississippi school for the first time since 1936. They will not play LSU for the first time since 1991. It should also be noted that Auburn is the only team in the league to play both Alabama and Georgia on the road.

Barrett Sallee of CBS Sports recently ranked all of the 2024 SEC conference schedules from most to least difficult, placing Auburn at No. 2 just behind Oklahoma.

Hugh Freeze has yet to coach a game for the Tigers, but projecting out to next season does bring some concern given just how tough the schedule is. Sure, there are winnable games on the road in Missouri and Kentucky - and having Vanderbilt on the schedule is never a bad thing - but overall having to play arguably three of the four most talented teams in the league (two on the road) makes it a tough go for Freeze's 2024 squad.

It will prove to be a test for Freeze, who has kicked off his Auburn tenure by recruiting extremely well both in the transfer portal and high school ranks.

Hugh Freeze has his work cut out for him in year one with the Tigers.

Auburn football's 2023 schedule ranks as one of the toughest in the nation, and will prove to be a tall task for Freeze in his first season on the Plains.

Thankfully the Tigers get both Alabama and Georgia at home, but even having to play the two schools alongside the likes of LSU and Texas A&M is daunting. Such is life in the SEC.

Ole Miss transfer Austin Keys may prove to quietly be one of the most valuable additions for the Tigers through the transfer portal this offseason.

New writer for Auburn Daily Joshua Collins recently wrote about how Keys could end up being a breakout player for the Tigers this upcoming season.
