No. 21 Baylor Bears at Texas Tech: Preview & How to Watch
The Baylor men’s basketball team is back in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings, as the Bears clock in at No. 21 entering a Big 12 showdown against Texas Tech in Lubbock on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Tuesday’s matchup between the Bears and Red Raiders is slated to tip off at 8 p.m. Central Time at the United Supermarkets Arena and will be televised on ESPNU.
Baylor (12-5, 2-3 Big 12) is 2-3 over the last five games, dropping its first three conference games prior to winning back-to-back Big 12 battles – at West Virginia on Jan. 11 and at home against Oklahoma State on Jan. 14.
Texas Tech (10-7, 0-5 Big 12) is winless over the last five games and has dropped all five of its conference matchups so far this season, including a six-point loss at No. 14 TCU, a three-point loss to No. 2 Kansas, an overtime loss against Oklahoma, a drubbing at No. 12 Iowa State and a two-point loss at No. 7 Texas on Jan. 14.
The Bears are currently led in scoring by guard Keyonte George (17.2 points per game), rebounding by forward Jalen Bridges (5.4 per game) and assists by guard Adam Flagler (5.3 per game).
Red Raiders forward Kevin Obanor leads Texas Tech in scoring (15.4 points per game), forward Daniel Batcho leads in rebounding (7.3 per game) and guard De’Vion Harmon leads in assists (3.5 per game).
