Baylor Bears at West Virginia: Preview & How to Watch
The Baylor men’s basketball team aims to bounce back from an 0-3 start in Big 12 play when coach Scott Drew and the Bears hit the road to face the West Virginia Mountaineers on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
Wednesday’s battle between the Bears and Mountaineers, both winless in conference play, is slated to tip off at 6 p.m. Central Time in Morgantown, WV on ESPN-Plus.
Baylor (10-5, 0-3 Big 12) is 2-3 over the last five games and has dropped its last three in a row, including a blowout loss at No. 14 Iowa State on New Year’s Eve, a one-point heartbreaker to No. 17 TCU on Jan. 4 and an overtime loss against Jerome Tang and the No. 11 Kansas State Wildcats on Jan. 7.
West Virginia (10-5, 0-3 Big 12), meanwhile, holds an identical 2-3 record over the last five games and an 0-3 mark over its last three, dropping conference matchups at No. 11 Kansas State in overtime, a 67-60 loss at Oklahoma State and a lopsided loss against No. 2 Kansas.
The Bears are currently led in scoring by guard Keyonte George (16.8 points per game), rebounding by forward Flo Thamba (5.2 per game) and assists by guard Adam Flagler (5.2 per game).
Mountaineers guard Erik Stevenson leads the team in scoring (14.0 points per game), forward Jimmy Bell Jr. leads in rebounding (6.0 per game) and guard Kedrian Johnson leads in assists (3.4 per game).
