Baylor Bears Women’s Basketball Ranked No. 23 in Latest AP Poll
The Baylor Bears women’s basketball team climbed one spot to No. 23 in the latest Associated Press top 25 rankings released on Monday, Dec. 26.
Baylor (9-3) played just one game in the week leading up to Christmas, knocking off Long Beach State in a 73-52 blowout victory on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at the Ferrell Center in the team’s final tune-up before conference play begins.
Coach Nicki Collen and the Bears return to action on Saturday, Dec. 31 in a Big 12 Conference matchup against TCU in Waco, Texas.
Saturday’s New Year’s Eve showdown between Baylor and TCU is slated to tip off at 2 p.m. Central Time at the Ferrell Center and will be televised live on ESPN-Plus.
No. 23 Baylor joins three other Big 12 teams currently ranked in the AP poll: No. 15 Iowa State, No. 20 Oklahoma and No. 22 Kansas.
