After a major win over Gonzaga, No. 12 Baylor (6-2) will look to stay in the win column against Tarleton State (5-3) on Tuesday.

These teams have played just twice all-time, splitting matchups in 2007 and 2008. But a lot has changed since then – Tarleton moved up to Division I in 2020, and are a combined 29-30 in two-plus seasons since the move.

This game represents uncharted territory for many on Baylor's roster, as it's the first time since Dec. 2019 they're ranked outside of the top 10. The Bears lost to Marquette last week, 96-70, in their largest loss ever as a top-10 team.

But despite the drop, the Bears saw glimmers of hope, perhaps most personified in freshman Keyonte George.

George, a potential top-five draft pick, earned Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week honors after 18 points and six rebounds against Gonzaga. He's averaging 14.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists through eight games.

Live updates from the game will follow below...

FIRST HALF

UNDER-16: Baylor 6, Tarleton State 5. Neither team has gotten much offense going, as they've combined to shoot 4/14 from the field. After the break, KiAndre Gaddy will head to the line to try to convert an and-one opportunity.

UNDER-12: Baylor 12, Tarleton State 11. Both offenses have continued to struggle. Since the last TV timeout, they've combined for more turnovers (six) than made shots (five). After the break, Jalen Bridges will head to the line to try to convert an and-one opportunity.

UNDER-8: Baylor 19, Tarleton State 18. The Texans have continued to prevent the Bears from pulling away, as Tiger Booker accounted for five straight points before a Dale Bonner three-pointer sent the game to a break.

UNDER-4: Baylor 29, Tarleton State 23. Keyonte George and Javontae Hopkins took offsetting technical fouls after George failed to finish an alley-oop. The Bears are finally getting some juice in the offense, and are on an 8-2 run.

HALFTIME: Baylor 39, Tarleton State 30. Langston Love converted a three-point play to end the half. Love leads all scorers with 13 points.

UNDER-16: Baylor 49, Tarleton State 38. In just over a minute of game time, the Bears wiped out an 8-2 Texans run with an 8-0 run of their own, featuring three-pointers by Keyonte George and Langston Love and punctuated by an alley-oop from George to Love.

UNDER-12: Baylor 56, Tarleton State 43. The Texans are on an extended scoring drought, having scored just three points in the past three-plus minutes. Langston Love assisted Jalen Bridges and Dale Bonner on jump shots, which Caleb Lohner followed up with back-to-back free throws to give the Bears their biggest lead of the night.

UNDER-8: Baylor 62, Tarleton State 47. Caleb Lohner fouled out after putting up five points, two rebounds and an assist off the bench. Both teams have garnered a lot of whistles tonight – the past 12 points scored have all come at the line.

UNDER-4: Baylor 69, Tarleton State 50. Tarleton State hasn't made a field goal since Garry Clark hit a three-pointer with 13:30 left to play. Since then, they've registered more fouls (eight) than points (seven).

FINAL SCORE: Baylor 80, Tarleton State 57. Keyonte George (22 points) and Langston Love (20 points) led all scorers as Baylor rolled to its seventh win of the season.
