Big 12 Repeat? Bears Predicted As Conference Champs
As the offseason continues on, bringing us one step close to the start of college football season, more and more predictions come out.
On Thursday the Big 12 released their preseason conference predictions, as the Baylor Bears to repeat as Big 12 champions for the first time since they won the Big 12 in 2013 and 2014.
Their prediction for the Big 12 is as follows:
1. Baylor
2. Oklahoma
3. Oklahoma State
4. Texas
5. Kansas State
6. Iowa State
7. TCU
8. West Virginia
9. Texas Tech
10. Kansas
There is a lot to like about the Bears this season and the Big 12 predictions reflect that. They return a lot of talent on both sides of the ball which helps their case for repeating as champions tremendously.
Most notably they return a lot of talent in the trenches, with their offensive line set to be one of the best not only in the Big 12 but possibly all of college football. However, it will not be a cakewalk to the title by any stretch of the imagination.
As always the Oklahoma Sooners are a threat to return to the Big 12 championship game after not making it last season. Behind the Sooners are the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, both of which could make some serious noise in conference play.
The Bears are the favorites to win the Big 12, and deservedly so with the talent, they return. Despite that, a tough road schedule that includes traveling to take on Texas and Oklahoma will be hard to navigate. One off week and the Bears could find themselves on the outside looking in.
