Bears WR Josh Cameron: Confidence is 'Really High' Following Two Straight Road Wins
When you enter the season as favorites to win your conference and repeat as conference champions in the process, you're likely to have a bigger target on your back.
This has been the case for the Baylor Bears, whose title defense has not gone as smoothly as they would have likely hoped. Sitting at 6-3, the Bears aren't completely out of the Big 12 championship picture but the path to doing so is easier said than done for them.
However, despite a slightly slow start in Big 12 play, the Bears have won two big road games in a row, which receiver Josh Cameron believes has led to an increased confidence level.
"It's really high, to be honest," Cameron said. "Even in practice, the energy levels are probably the highest its been this whole season. Everybody was coming together and flying around, all that stuff, so I'd say we're really confident."
After losing two games in a row against Oklahoma State and West Virginia, Baylor bounced back in a strong way, rattling off three wins with the last two coming on the road in tough environments against Kansas and Oklahoma.
As the Bears prepare for the final three games of their season, whether or not they earn a Big 12 title game berth is yet to be seen. However, they're putting it together at the right time, and the confidence levels are rising in Waco as a result.
