Which Baylor Football Games Will Be Losses?

A 12-0 record might be too much to ask for.

In this story:

There are 12 games in the standard college football season. Winning all 12 of those games is not common, especially with the toughest contests coming on the road. That is the task Baylor football is up to in 2022.

Dave Aranda's squad faces a gauntlet of a slate, and Cameron Stuart joins Drake to compartmentalize the Bears' schedule into guaranteed wins, toss-up games, and guaranteed losses. I know, there are games on the schedule that are already lost.

For Drake, Texas State, Albany, Kansas and TCU were guaranteed wins. For Cameron, Texas State, Albany, Kansas and Texas Tech.

There's no excuse to lose to smaller schools in Texas State and Albany, and Kansas still is not the caliber of Baylor. TCU and Texas Tech should also finish near the bottom of the league.

In the category of toss-up games, Drake opted to include Kansas State, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Texas. Cameron sided with Kansas State, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

These are tough. With so many road games, playing teams like West Virginia and Iowa State away from Waco will be no easy task. Maybe those schools finish at the bottom of the conference, but the road has been Baylor's kryptonite.

While Drake and Cameron both see BYU as a guaranteed loss, Drake sees the Bears losing at Oklahoma while Cameron thinks the boys in green go down in Austin.

Again, hello road games. BYU will be the toughest atmosphere Baylor plays in all season long. Oklahoma and Texas won't be much easier. Quality athleticism and a raucous road atmosphere will likely get the most of the Bears.
