Elite OT Isaiah Robinson Signs With Baylor Bears
The Baylor Bears just secured one of their most important signatures of the 2023 class, when Lamar (Arlington, TX) offensive tackle Isaiah Robinson signed his national letter of intent.
Robinson now officially joins a Baylor class that will have high expectations, despite the flip of their top commit, quarterback Austin Novosad, to the Oregon Ducks.
“I think it’s going to be really good,” Robinson told 247Sports earlier this fall. “Me and this class, definitely being one of the highest recruiting classes in the nation for Baylor, I think we can do some damage on the field.”
Before picking the Bears, Robinson took official visits to Cal (June 9) and Baylor (June 17).
“Baylor, in the end, it felt like home,” Robinson said. “Me and my family all have a really good relationship with Coach (Eric) Mateos and Coach (Dave) Aranda. The city of Waco is definitely somewhere I can see myself going to college. It’s definitely my speed. It’s not too fast and not too slow.”
He was also recruited and offered by the likes of Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Auburn, Texas Tech, and SMU among others.
The 6-foot-7, 280-pound Robinson is one of the top offensive line recruits in the state of Texas and has the talent and athleticism to see the field early for the Bears next season.
