Baylor Signs Talented CB Tay'Shawn Wilson
Baylor Bears coach Dave Aranda and his talented group of recruiters got a major signature on Wednesday during the Early Signing Period, with cornerback Tay'Shawn Wilson signing his letter of intent.
Wilson is now realizing a lifelong dream of being a Baylor Bear, as he told 247Sports this summer
"It means everything to me," Wilson said in the interview. "Baylor has been one of my top schools since I was a kid. Also my dream school."
Wilson is one of the elite cornerbacks in Texas and the latest highly-rated Texas recruit to sign to Baylor in the 2023 class, alongside (Dripping Springs) and offensive tackle Isaiah Robinson.
Wilson also had offers from Nebraska, Texas, and his hometown Houston Cougars. You can chalk up the recruiting victory to cornerback coach Kevin Curtis on this one who was a major piece in the recruitment of Wilson from the beginning.
The Bears will now look to cement the rest of their 2023 commits as the day progresses, and lock up a top-25 recruiting class.
With Wilson, Novosad and Robinson at the forefront of the class, Baylor could finish with its most talented group of signings in program history.
