The Big 12 looks like it’s expanding to 14 teams. From a football program standpoint, where does Baylor rank among those 14?

Dave Aranda and the Bears will be facing quite the challenge with Oklahoma and Texas lingering while BYU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston jump on board. Peter Pope of Our Daily Bears hops on to break down where Baylor sits in a possible 14-team league.

Recruiting-wise, how does the exit of Texas and OU change the mold of the Big 12? Drake and Peter break down how it feels like it’s really going to hurt Baylor’s recruiting.

There is something about the brand of Texas, and Oklahoma has been in the college football playoff multiple times. How Baylor stacks up to a 14-team Big 12 on the hardwood is a significant point of focus for Scott Drew, his players and all Bear fans. While we haven’t heard too much chatter about it, it’s healthy to remember that these new teams also play basketball.

That’s going to have a huge effect on Baylor’s success and recruiting moving forward. Moreover, with Caleb Lohner joining the program, there is a tie to BYU who has moved into the Big 12. Across the board, the league will be wildly entertaining and Baylor will add plenty of new big matchups to its schedule.
