Realignment Should Help Baylor Win Multiple National Titles

As the conference gets stronger, so will the Bears.

Say hello to a new era of college athletics where, in true Whose Line is it Anyway fashion, everything is so hectic that all schools deserve 10 bonus points in a world where no one is counting and the points don't matter.

So, here we have it. The Baylor Bears are staring down the barrel of conference realignment. Maybe they join the SEC. Maybe they wind up poached by the Pac-12. Maybe they live happily ever after in a 20-team Big 12. No matter what, one thing will be true: the Baylor basketball team will be good.

Scott Drew has built something in Waco that is undoubtedly sustainable and will help this program flourish wherever it goes. Heck, if these guys can whip up on a bunch of foreign countries at Globl Jam, do you really think the state of Kansas is going to scare the Bears moving forward?

Sustained success has been proven by Drew over the past 15 years. It's inevitable, then, that as long as Drew is here, the trend will continue. Moreover, in any conference filled with more stacked basketball competition than the current Big 12, recruiting will soar and the Bears will reap the benefit of a regular season schedule that wholly prepares the squad for March.

And that's entirely the conversation on today's episode of Locked On Baylor where Drake is joined by Our Daily Bears' basketball guru Branden MacKinnon to talk everything from realignment to Globl Jame to Keyonte George being a literal world-beater. This one is a good one.
