The Baylor Bears have been on fire in the 2023 recruiting cycle, putting together one of the best classes in the country, as well as one of the most impressive hauls in program history.

Now, the Bears have bolstered that class even further, landing a commitment from 2023 Lewisville (TX) defensive back Caden Jenkins.

Jenkins made his announcement via his personal Twitter account

A 6-foot-1, 171-pound corner with good range and speed, Jenkins picked the Bears over offers from Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU, Texas Tech, Washington State, and more.

Last season with the Farmers as a junior, Jenkins was a major playmaker, finishing as a Texas 6-6A first-team all-district selection.

During that campaign, Jenkins had 30 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, 13 pass breakups, and a fumble recovery. His twin brother, Cameren, is also a star in the Lewisville secondary but has not been offered by Baylor.

With the commitment from Jenkins, the Bears now hold 25 commitments in the 2023 class, including 13 on the defensive side of the ball, and six in the defensive secondary alone.

Jenkins is also the third quarterback commitment of the class, joining Mayde Creek (Houston, TX) product Tay'Shawn Wilson, and Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, LA) corner Carl Williams IV.
