The Baylor Bears lost a key member of their 2023 recruiting class, when offensive lineman Calvin Clements de-committed from the program late on Tuesday afternoon.

The Free State (Lawrence, KS) product narrowed his offers down to a final three last week when he chose the Bears over Kansas State and his hometown Kansas Jayhawks.

Now, his options are once again open, and a decision is coming soon.

Kansas, who is having a historic season by its own standards, is once again to be expected at the top of his list

Clements is ranked by several recruiting outlets as one of the top 10 players in Kansas and also held offers from Iowa State and Minnesota.

Clements is agile and tall, standing at 6'7" but only 265 pounds, giving him room to grow as a top-tier power five offensive linemen. That said, his footwork and athleticism make him stand out at his position.

The tackle made his official visit to Baylor June 24, the third and final official visit of his top three choices.

Clements was at one point the fourth commitment on the offensive line. Now, Isaiah Robinson from Lamar (Arlington, TX), Wes Tucker (Argyle, TX), and Sean Thompkins (Covington, GA) are all that remain
