We just lost to Louisville.

We’ve already lost to Wake Forest and Kansas this year.

We are 3-3 this season when we honestly could (should?) be 6-0.

We have the 118th ranked defense in the country (out of 130 teams).

We have the 75th ranked passing offense and just lost our starting QB for the season.

We won’t be favored in any game for the rest of the year.

We have assistant coaches for some reason tweeting at fans voicing their frustration.

Thank god for the bye week, I guess.

Maybe some issues on the team are fixed and we pull off a win or two down the stretch. I’ll be happy for the players. But I’m ready for Addazio to go. And I have been for some time. Even if we somehow win three to make a bowl, I think we need to thank him for his service and look for a head coach to take us to the next level. And don’t let naysayers or Addazio apologists try to convince you that he’s actually a good coach, doing the best that Boston College can expect or that he deserves more time. But I’m not going to write another long Daz takedown. It’s too tiring.

I’ll keep cheering on and previewing the Eagles like always because I’m addicted to it. I’m also addicted to gambling so let’s get to this week’s picks.

2019 Record: 26-26-1, 50.0%

Like BC football, I’m disappointingly .500 this year. 3-4 last week. Man we need a big week soon.

1) Friday Night SpecialOVER 59.5 Colorado/Oregon – Colorado doesn’t have a good defense and a decent enough offense. Expect some fireworks in Eugene.

2) Texas +10.5 vs Oklahoma – This is a rivalry game that Texas has taken three out of the last six. Tom Herman as an underdog. OU hasn’t played a good team all year. Take the Horns and the points.

3) Central Michigan -10 vs New Mexico State – Frank Spaziani is the defensive coordinator for New Mexico State.

4) Arizona State -1.5 vs Washington State – Herm’s team looks pretty good and Mike Leach’s does not. Think the Sun Devils take this one.

5) Iowa State -10.5 at West Virginia – Cyclones are going to win this big. Matt Campbell’s team is finding it’s groove offensively.

6) Navy -1 at Tulsa – Tulsa just blew a game vs pass happy SMU. Now they have to come home and play triple-option Navy? Take the Middies.

7) Ole Miss +11 at Mizzou – This feels like a one score game. Think the Rebels can even win it.
