After a record-setting win against Syracuse last week, Boston College has a chance to clinch a bowl game on Senior Day against FSU. Let's get to it.

Who: The 4-5 Florida State Seminoles. If you've been living under a rock for the past week, you might not have heard that FSU fired their head coach Willie Taggart mid-way through his 2nd season. 9-12 in just 21 games with the Noles was good enough for the FSU administration (or some big donors) to make a move. It's been a very, very disappointing year for the Noles again.

Where: Beautiful Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, MA.

Weather: Sunny and in the 30s.

When: 12:00PM/ET, 10AM/Mountain Time.

What Channel: ACC Network

Where I'll Be Watching: The Long Island Game Watch. Although, the team seemed to respond to me not watching last week...

What's the Spread: BC are currently 2.5-point favorites.

What Else? The Red Bandanna Game is this week. I'm going to make this short and sweet - Boston College should make this annual game honoring 9/11 hero Welles Crowther around a home game around 9/11 each year. Schedule accordingly. The end.

Most Important Dude(s)

Offensive linemen John Phillips, Ben Petrula, Alec Lindstrom, Zion Johnson, Tyler Vrabel and others

This group can set the tone early for the Eagles and take over the game. FSU just lost one of their top defensive tackles for the year and I think this game can be won similarly to our wins over NC State and Syracuse - Ground & Pound. If they can dominate the game, BC will cruise.

3 Keys to #SOAR'N

1) Jump The 'Noles – I kind of hated seeing Taggart get fired this week. Sometimes teams will respond positively to an interim coach. I'm hoping if BC can jump out to an early lead, it won't matter and FSU will quit. Think two years ago when we scored quickly on our first few drives and the game was over.

2) No Deep Balls – It'd be nice if our secondary could go one game without getting burned for a long touchdown pass (or two or three). FSU has plenty of issues, let's not gift them points with coverage busts.

3) Play To Win – This one is just for Addazio because of his famed conservative approach in last year's WTF loss to FSU: When in doubt, be aggressive. Play to win. Thanks, Coach!

Final Prediction

Boston College 38

Florida State 28

I think we're going to play our asses off to clinch a bowl game on Senior Day. The Noles look lost. We win this game.

Giblin's Gambles

This Will Be Where I Make A Few CFB Picks Each Week - Use At Your Own Risk My Season Goal: Over 57%

2019 Record: 45-34-1, 56.9%

I only picked five games last week. I got some folks who asked - "Why you only picking five games?" Because those were the picks I liked! And after Army, Kansas State, TCU/OKST Over, Pitt and Indiana all covered I ended up 5-0! How do ya like me now!? Let's get after it this week.

1) FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL - UCF -17 at Tulsa. The Golden Knights are going to score early and often against Tulsa. Lay those points.

2) Baylor -2.5 at TCU - This is going to be a popular public pick and I don't care. Baylor is good and TCU has injuries to all three of their QBs. Don't overthink this. Take the Bears.

3) UMASS/Army OVER 61.5 – It feels weird to take an over with a triple-option team like Army but UMass's defense is that bad. 56-27 type game to me.

4) LSU/BAMA Under 62.5 – I think this game will be good but I think we're looking at a game where only one team might reach the 30s.

5) Wisconsin -9.5 vs Iowa  I think the Hawkeyes might not score double-digits this game. My only worry is Wisconsin struggling on offense too. Still, take the Badgers.

6) Washington State -7.5 at Cal – Cal really struggles to score. Mike Leach's teams do not. Think the Cougs win by double-digits.

7) Georgia Tech at Virginia UNDER 46 - Both teams have decent defenses. Virginia has a decent offense. Tech has a terrible offense. This game goes under.
