Field Hockey: Defeated Boston University 5-0. Four goals by Margo Carlin gave Boston College all the goals they needed as goalie Sarah Dwyer made four saves in the shutout. The Eagles improve to 8-5 on the season and take on Syracuse on Friday in Newton.
Volleyball: Lost to Pittsburgh 3-0. Facing off against the #3 team in the country, the Eagles battled hard. Jewel Strawberry led the team with 14 kills, while Amaka Chukwujekwu also had 8 kills and 7 blocks.
Women's Soccer: Ties Wake Forest 3-3. It was an up and down game for the Eagles that came down to the wire with BC taking the lead on a Gianna Mitchell goal in the 84th minute, but Wake answered quickly in the 87th to lead to the tie.

This Day In Boston College History: October 14, 2017
Boston College 45 Louisville 42: Just a week after Steve Addazio's infamous "It will come together and it will be beautiful" speech after a loss to Virginia Tech, BC's offense did come together and it was beautiful. It was the AJ Dillon coming out party was the Eagles star running back got his first start for the Eagles and ran for 274 yards and four touchdowns in an electric game that included devastating stiff arms, unbelievable vision and breakaway speed. The freshman back out dueled Heisman winner Lamar Jackson, but it was kicker Colton Lichtenberg who nailed a 27 yarder with time expiring.
