Boston College will face off with Virginia Tech this Saturday at 4pm at Alumni Stadium. With quite a few familiar faces graduating, the first depth chart will be something that fans are going to want to read. Here it is:

Some things of note:

* Graduate transfer Richard Yeargin III is slated to start the game for the Eagles. Based off of what I saw at scrimmages I thought the two starting ends would be Barlow and Valdez, but the depth chart spoke otherwise. Yeargin is going to be a fascinating story this year, and if he can play well, it will be the feel good story of the year for the Eagles

* Anthony Palazzolo will indeed get the star at guard opposite of John Phillips. Saw a lot of Zion Johnson in practice, but he will be the backup. But with an Addazio led team, you know that having multiple offensive lineman ready is key.

* The Z receiver, the role that Jeff Smith played last year is going to be critical for the Eagles this season. Ben Glines is explosive, which we all know, but I would expect Zay Flowers to make his way on to the field in certain packages.

* Aaron Boumerhi the Temple transfer kicker is indeed going to start. He got hurt last year but if he is healthy he could really transform the kicking game.

* Kyiev Bennermon getting the start at tackle opposite of Tanner Karafa, I have to say I'm kind of surprised. But from what I've heard, the kid is ferocious.

* Secondary is what I expected, Haynes and Sebastian at corner along with Palmer and El-Attrach as the safeties.

Anything else stand out to you?
